Once again Ilona and Gordon have created a captivating world where I eagerly flipped pages intrigued by the strange and unique manifestations magic took. In Burn for Me a decidedly new, alternate Houston, Texas is created, one where magic takes on some unusual forms, both magical and physical in humans. This rogue and highly coveted magic is now carefully controlled by powerful Houses, families with strong hereditary magic that now rule. ![]() Like Pandora's Box, once free these powers often couldn't be controlled completely.
